How to use markdown table of contents
- Paste Markdown containing headings written with # followed by a space.
- Generate the table of contents and verify anchors in your Markdown renderer.
What to know about the result
- Hash headings inside fenced code blocks are ignored; setext headings are not supported. Up to 1,000 headings of 1,000 characters each are supported.
- Anchors use lowercase words, hyphens, and duplicate suffixes. Renderer slug rules can differ, especially with inline markup; verify the links before publishing.
