JSON Pointer Extractor
Extract one JSON value using RFC 6901 pointer paths, escaped property names, and strict zero-based array indexes.
Developers locating a nested field in large API responses.
Free to use. Your inputs are processed in this browser and are not included in usage analytics.
How to use json pointer extractor
- Paste JSON and the pointer to the value you need.
- Use ~0 for a literal ~ and ~1 for a literal / inside property names.
- Extract the value as JSON; leave the pointer empty to return the root.
What to know about the result
- Processing stays in this browser. Inputs are never executed and no data is sent to an API.
- Inputs are limited to 200,000 characters, 64 nesting levels, and 50,000 JSON values. Quote integers outside the safe integer range.
- Array indexes must be 0, 1, 2, and so on without leading zeros. Missing paths and the append marker - are rejected.
- The slash pointer / targets an empty-string property name. URI fragment pointers beginning with # are not supported.
