JSON Object Flattener
Flatten nested object properties into escaped JSON Pointer paths while retaining arrays and empty objects as complete leaf values.
Developers preparing reversible object-path maps for configuration reviews.
Free to use. Your inputs are processed in this browser and are not included in usage analytics.
How to use json object flattener
- Paste a JSON object as the root document.
- Flatten nested object properties into pointer-keyed leaves.
- Use JSON Object Unflattener to restore the original object.
What to know about the result
- Processing stays in this browser. Inputs are never executed and no data is sent to an API.
- Inputs are limited to 200,000 characters, 64 nesting levels, and 50,000 JSON values. Quote integers outside the safe integer range.
- RFC 6901 paths escape ~ as ~0 and / as ~1. Dots and numeric object keys remain literal keys.
- Arrays are never split into indexes. Empty objects are leaves, and an empty root object is represented by the empty pointer.
