HTTP Request Code Builder

Generate a JavaScript fetch snippet or safely quoted POSIX curl command from an HTTP(S) URL, headers, method, and text body.

Developers preparing reviewable API request examples without sending a request.

Free to use. Your inputs are processed in this browser and are not included in usage analytics.

String values only. CR, LF, and invalid header names are rejected.

GET and HEAD cannot have a body. Body text is quoted, not executed.

How to use http request code builder

  1. Enter a complete HTTP(S) URL, method, header JSON, and optional body.
  2. Choose a JavaScript fetch snippet or POSIX curl command.
  3. Review the code and run it yourself in the intended environment when ready.

What to know about the result

  • This generates text only and never sends a request. Fetch snippets use top-level await in an async or module context.
  • curl output uses POSIX single-quote escaping and --data-raw so pasted body text is literal. It is not PowerShell or Windows cmd syntax.
  • Header arrays preserve punctuation and prototype-like names. URL credentials, fragments, control characters, and GET/HEAD bodies are rejected.
